Overview

Profession energy is a resource used for:

  • gathering,
  • crafting,
  • research,
  • learning languages,
  • treating wounds,
  • changing prepared spells,
  • quests.

By default, player characters may hold up to 6 Profession Energy at a time.

Exceptions apply, example: Commoner.

Replenishing

By default Profession Energy replenishes at the rate of two per twenty hours. You may track the time remaining until the next recovery in your Character Sheet (by default under J):

Text showing Profession Energy on cooldown.
View of Profession Energy on cooldown.

When ready to replenish, it will appear as following:

Text saying Economy Reset Cooldown Eligible, as within the Character Sheet.
View of Profession Energy ready to be replenished.

This may take approximately 30 minutes, depending on current server load.

The system stores up to 6 Profession Energy, accrued once every 20 hours, allowing players to retain it even if they do not log in. To prevent loss of accrued energy during replenishing, the script will wait until the character has enough 'space' on their sheet to fit the accumulated energy. Example: a player who'd not logged in for two days will have 4 energy saved up, and as such their current energy must not be greater than 2/6 to redeem the pending 4.
