Usage: Combat-only spell, reaction

Description:

This spell allows you to capture part of the incoming elemental energy when you take acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder damage. You gain resistance to that damage type until the end of the turn, and the first time you hit with a melee attack on your next turn, you deal 1d6 extra damage of the captured type (selected when triggered).

Effects:

  • Reaction: triggers when you take acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder damage.
  • Captures half of the elemental damage dealt to you.
  • Grants resistance to that damage type until the end of your turn.
  • On your next melee attack, the first hit deals an extra 1d6 damage of the captured elemental type.
  • Intended for combat use only.
