You find yourself on another plane of existence, inside a Domain of Dread. And while it isn't always dreadful or as scary as some other similar domains, it surely is far less forgiving place than most of Faerûn.

Seemingly lively nature painted by morning sun might feel like a wonderful place to find yourself at despite not being able to put a finger on where you are or how did you get here. Yet something feels off. Instead of songs of birds, there is an eerie silence. The mist walks past you, uncovering this new world like theater drapes revealing a scene.

Soon enough you will find other people at a nearby impoverished settlement and learn what they call this area, and that Avardon wasn't always enclosed by mists. It was a bustling centre of trade. Ruled by de Brasov family for centuries, which caused Avardon's growth into prosperity, but also its damnation.

It was no other than Count Farkas de Brasov whose wicked acts caught attention of the Dark Powers, that turned Avardon into a purgatory for him. [...]
