Oath of Vengeance

Oath of Vengeance, also nicknamed "avengers" or "dark knights," is an oath dedicated to the removal or dismembering of a certain person, people, or organization. This oath is typically taken in times of high conflict due to a major personal or historical wrongdoing. An example of this might be a Shevarashan dedicated to the removal of Drow or, in turn, a Drow dedicated to destroying the Seldarine per their ancestral hatred. This conflict might also boil down to particular afflictions, such as vampires or werewolves, that have caused strife for them and their people. Whatever their hatred is directed at, it is deep-rooted, and they must see to its death no matter what it costs.

Their oath is typically laid out as such. Keep in mind 'greater evil' will mean different things to different people. What might be evil in one person's eyes might be different in the next. Something consistent with all vengeance paladins is the removal of their sworn enemy.

Fight the Greater Evil. Faced with a choice of fighting my sworn foes or combating a lesser evil, I choose the greater evil.

No Mercy for the Wicked. Ordinary foes might win my mercy, but my sworn enemies do not.

By Any Means Necessary. My qualms can't get in the way of exterminating my foes.

Restitution. If my foes wreak ruin on the world, it is because I failed to stop them. I must help those harmed by their misdeeds.
