Connecting to Avardon can be difficult or problematic for some. However, the community has found some ways which can ease the amount of time necessary to connect. The Community has found several methods that can increase your likelihood of successfully connecting.
Why is Connecting so difficult?
Unfortunately, Funcom did not make Conan Exiles with the amount of players connected to the server at a time. Therefore, when the player count is as high as Avardon the server is overwhelmed with connections that it doesn't respond to your attempt to connect to it. This is entirely out of the control of the Server, it is a limitation of Conan and the Number of players on the server. A Solution for this has been thought of however, this will not be until the switch to Enhanced.
For the time being, you can attempt some of the Methods below!
Ways to Connect
Connect with Conay
The easiest way to connect to the server while keeping your mods up to date is by using the Conay launcher. Simply run it and find Avardon in the list of servers.
Quick Connect
Avardon offers a method of connection called Quick Connect. Essentially, what this does is your game will automatically attempt to connect to the server, should it fail to connect it will wait an appropriate amount of time before attempting to connect again.
Each attempt is displayed on a Counter. This Method allows you to do something in the background as the game automatically attempts to connect you.
Direct Connect
Avardon has several different IPs that you can connect to that range across the world. Simply go into the Conan Exiles server list from the main menu, choose any IP.
It is recommend to try the Standard IP first. However, if you cannot connect via the Standard IP there are three other IPs that you can attempt.

VPN
Some players have found that connecting to the server via a VPN has allowed for an easier time in order to connect. Players have reported that using a VPN connected to a server closest to the IP you are trying to connect through (Such as Texas/Dallas, and New York or Miami) has allowed them an easier time to connect.
Three Dots Method
Using the Direct Connect method, after you have clicked connect there will be three dots which will appear, wait for the three dots to cycle through for four cycles, cancel, try direct again.
Quick Connect to Direct Connect Method
Using the Quick Connect, wait for it to attempt it for ~10 Attempts, if by this point it has not let you in the server. Back out of the Quick Connect go to the server list and attempt to Direct Connect for three to five attempts before going back to Quick Connect
Give it time
Sometimes, no matter what you do the server just doesn't let you in, and that's okay! Take a deep breath, give yourself a break go ahead and do something else. It's frustrating, but the server will still be here when you return!
