These mysterious beings are the architects of the Domains of Dread. These unknowable forces are the Mists and the darkness. They are the ones that hold the Darklords prisoner, being akin to gods in Ravenloft. Despite exerting control over the domains, they remain distant with inhabitants knowing little to nothing about them. With only some Darklords even realizing they are imprisoned by something greater than themselves.<br /> <br /> == Deities ==<br /> Characters can worship mostly any deity that exists where they came from before entering the mists. When the mists have been entered, your character&#039;s deity can grant powers to protect the character despite no longer being able to draw directly from them. This makes the source of magic your own faith itself.</div>
